Xueming (Jimmie) Chen, an associate professor of urban and regional planning and Urban Studies at Virginia Commonwealth University. Professor Chen received his Bachelor and Master degrees in urban and regional planning from Nanjing University and his Ph.D degree in urban and regional planning from the University of Southern California. In addition to his current position at Virginia Commonwealth University, professor Chen has taught at the University of California Irvine, and California State Universities at Northridge and Los Angeles. He is a member of the Transportation Research Board’s Transportation Economics and Transportation and Economic Development Committees and past President and board member of the International Chinese Transportation Professional Association, Southern California Chapter.
