Call for IACP Nominations, due Dec.
31, 2007
Dear members of the International Association for China
Planning,
Happy New Year!
This is the reminder of call for nominations for four new members of the
IACP Board of Directors.
1. You may nominate up to 2 non-student members and 2 student members of the
IACP, including yourself. Please include all nominations in a single email
to
iacp2007@gmail.com.
Note in order to be eligible to nominate and/or to be nominated, you must be
an active IACP member. That is, your membership dues must be received by
Dec. 31, 2007 before the vote begins. (See
http://www.chinaplanning.org/application.htm for details about joining
IACP or paying IACP dues)
There is no need for any supporting statements in the nomination email,
unless you also wish to submit a ballot statement at that time (see below).
A brief description for each of the positions will be sent out to all
members by email, and posted on the IACP website (http://www.chinaplanning.org/Position_Duty.htm).
2. Eligible nominees must be endorsed by at least 2 other IACP members (you
may endorse yourself if you are not self nominated), willing to serve IACP,
and submit a ballot statement of no more than 150 words by 11:59 pm on Dec.
31. Please note the endorsements must be sent by other IACP members to the
mentioned email address (iacp2007@gmail.com).
(The elections committee will, as necessary, confirm willingness to serve
and obtain ballot statements.)
3. Student members are especially encouraged to run because 2 among the 4
positions are for students (again, you must become an active IACP student
member to be eligible to nominate and/or to be nominated).
4. A ballot of all candidates will be distributed on Jan. 1st, 2008 with
separate instructions for voting.
If you have any questions, please send an e-mail to Zhan Guo at
guozhan@MIT.EDU or to
iacp2007@gmail.com.
We encourage all interested members to consider running for a position on
the IACP Board and serving the IACP members.
