The International Association for China Planning (IACP) is pleased to announce the 2019 IACP Rising Scholar Award (青年学者奖). This award recognizes to a junior faculty member who has demonstrated an outstanding research record in the broader area of urban planning and development in China. The winner will be announced at the IACP conference in Chengdu. Along with an award certificate, the winner will also receive a prize of US $500 or Chinese RMB of an equivalent value.

To be eligible for this award, the applicant must be:

  1. a non-tenured lecturer or assistant professor;
  2. an author for a paper that has been accepted for presentation at the 13th IACP conference in Chengdu, China;

To be considered for this award, please email the following by April 15th, 2019 to the IACP Award committee led by Yang Zhang, yang08@vt.edu.

  • your current CV
  • a brief statement (no more than one page) explaining your research interest and qualification for this award

All submitted applications will be evaluated by a review committee selected by the IACP Award committee.

The IACP Rising Scholar Award is made possible by IACP membership fees and the generous support of conference sponsors.
