Assistant or Associate Professor of Urban Planning or Urban Design
The Harvard University Graduate School of Design invites applications
for one or more full-time academic ladder appointments at the rank of
assistant or associate professor (untenured), to begin Fall 2010. The
successful candidate(s) will be expected to teach graduate-level urban
planning or urban design courses and studios, and conduct research in
core subjects of urban planning, urban design and the built environment
broadly. We seek candidates with teaching and research interests in the
area of international development, although strong candidates with
research interests in other core subjects will also be considered. A
Ph.D. in urban planning or equivalent doctoral degree in a related field
is preferred, although a substantive professional urban planning or
urban design background will also be considered. Minority and women
candidates are especially encouraged to apply.
