Call for submissions to IACP Best Student Paper Award
The IACP best student paper competition annually provides an award to a student in China who presents the best paper at the annual IACP conference in China. To be eligible for the award, the student must be a current student enrolled in a university in China and the sole author or lead author of a paper presented at the annual IACP conference in China. A call for papers for the 5th IACP best student paper award is posted below.
Call for submissions to Karen R. Polenske Award
The IACP has established a student traveling fellowship award in honor of M.I.T. Urban Studies and Planning professor Karen R. Polenske. Due to the generosity of one major and a number of additional donors the Polenske fellowship now has a sufficient endowment to make two awards each year to permit students to travel to major international conferences to present their work related to China planning.
2011 IACP City Planning and Urban Design Best Practice Award
The IACP presented the 2011 best practice award and exhibition at its 5th annual conference in Beijing. The award was created to acknowledge planning and design excellence from professional firms, planning institutions, government agencies and individuals. (read more)
2011 IACP Travel Award
As a benefit to our members, the IACP Board of Directors have decided to offer a limited number of IACP Travel Awards to IACP members, particularly aimed at students and junior faculty members to help with part of their international travel expenses. To be eligible for this year’s travel award, the applicant must be an active IACP member or student member, having paid the 2011 membership fee by December 31st, 2010, whose abstract has been accepted for the 5th IACP conference in Beijing, and who has registered and committed to make a presentation at the conference by April 23rd, 2011 (for registration information, please visit http://www.chinaplanning.org/Conferences/5thIACPconference.html). Preference will be given to applicants who submit a full paper by April 30th, 2011. (read more) |
